Job summary

East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a motivated Receptionist to join the Emergency Department/Urgent Care reception team. You will be the first point of contact for patients, accurately recording demographics on the Cerner system and supporting the clinical team across Royal Blackburn Hospital, Accrington Victoria Hospital Minor Injuries Unit, and Burnley Urgent Care Centre.

• Accurate data entry and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Navigate patients to the appropriate service.
• Input patient demographics onto Cerner and print records.
• Print wristbands and photocopy patient records as needed.
• Scan and email confidential patient records to departments.
• Liaise with triage nurse and nursing staff; manage appointments across clinics.
• Maintain confidentiality and provide excellent customer care.
