Job summary

Henley Chase is seeking a Roofing Surveyor for site-based work across commercial and industrial roofing projects in the UK. You will perform detailed surveys, identify defects and prepare clear reports and scopes of work for repair, refurbishment, and replacement.

With 3+ years UK roofing experience, you will read drawings and specifications, liaise with clients and contractors, and assist with cost estimation while supporting delivery teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in the UK roofing or construction industry.
• Experience as Roofing Surveyor, Roofing Estimator, Contracts Manager or similar.
• Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems.
• Experience with flat roofing systems: single-ply, liquid waterproofing, hot melt, built-up felt.
• Good understanding of pitched roofing is advantageous.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications and technical information.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out detailed roof and building surveys.

• Identifying defects, deterioration, water ingress and potential causes of failure.
• Producing clear survey reports and recommendations.
• Preparing scopes of work for repair, refurbishment and replacement projects.

• Liaising with clients, main contractors, consultants and manufacturers.
• Providing technical advice on suitable roofing systems and solutions.
• Assisting with project pricing and estimating where required.
• Obtaining technical and product information from manufacturers.
• Identifying potential commercial and technical risks.
• Attending site meetings and client meetings.
• Supporting the contracts and commercial teams through to project delivery.

Roofing Surveyor

Salary: £50,000-£60,000 per annum

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Location: Site-based / UK travel as required

Our client is a well-established and highly respected pitched and flat roofing contractor

Due to continued growth and an upcoming retirement within the surveying team, they are looking to appoint an experienced Roofing Surveyor.

The Role

As a Roofing Surveyor, you will be responsible for carrying out detailed surveys of commercial and industrial roofing systems, identifying defects and providing practical recommendations for repair, replacement and refurbishment.

You will work closely with clients, contractors, manufacturers and the internal commercial team to assess roofing requirements and develop accurate scopes of work.
