Job summary

Caledonian Recruitment Group Ltd is seeking a Roofing Contracts Manager to oversee multiple commercial, industrial, or high-end residential roofing projects from handover to completion. You will deliver contracts safely, on time and within budget, acting as the primary contact for main contractors and clients.

The role requires 3–5+ years of roofing contract management, SMSTS/CSCS Black Card, and a UK driving licence.

About the Role

We are seeking a commercially astute and driven Roofing Contracts Manager to oversee multiple commercial, industrial, or high-end residential roofing projects from handover through to completion. You will take full operational responsibility for delivering contracts safely, on time, and within budget, serving as the primary point of contact for main contractors and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Delivery: Oversee multiple live roofing sites simultaneously, ensuring work matches program milestones and strict quality specifications.
• Financial Oversight: Manage project budgets, monitor variations, and work alongside quantity surveyors to safeguard profit margins.
• Health & Safety: Maintain absolute compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, ensuring robust RAMS are implemented across all sites.
• Team Leadership: Coordinate, motivate, and schedule site supervisors, directly employed labor, and sub-contractors.
• Client Relations: Manage expectations and attend progress meetings with main contractors, architects, and surveyors.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: 3-5+ years of dedicated contract or project management experience within the roofing sector.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of flat roofing systems (single-ply, liquid-applied, felt) and/or pitched roofing (slating/tiling).
• Certifications: Valid SMSTS, CSCS Black Card, and a full UK driving license are essential.
• Skills: Excellent leadership, organizational capabilities, and a sharp eye for commercial variations.
