Arriva TrainCare is recruiting a Rolling Stock Maintenance Fitter to join the Light Maintenance team at Crewe Depot on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will carry out maintenance and modifications on customer rolling stock, diagnosing faults and ensuring tasks meet safety and quality standards.

You will work as part of the Delap/Mods Team, following VMIs, adhering to procedures, and maintaining a clean, safe working environment while supporting ongoing reliability targets.

Qualifications

• Experience in rail vehicle maintenance and engineering activities.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering principles.
• Understanding of health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.

Responsabilités

• Carry out work allocated by the Team Leader to agreed standards and deadlines.
• Service and modify customer vehicles in accordance with VMIs.
• Diagnose faults and carry out corrective actions.
• Follow safety procedures, documentation and local instructions.
• Complete worksheets promptly after task completion.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and use appropriate PPE.
• Support depot availability and reliability targets through high-quality workmanship.
