Job summary

Arriva TrainCare is seeking a Rolling Stock Modifications Team Leader at Crewe Depot. Lead a skilled fitters team to deliver modifications and maintenance safely, on time and to quality standards. Drive safety, compliance and continuous improvement while aligning with VMIs, VOIs and customer requirements.

The role reports to the Crewe Depot Manager in a 12-month FTC, 37.5 hours per week, and offers a comprehensive benefits package in a dynamic depot environment.

Qualifications

• Strong rail engineering background and leadership experience.
• Experience supervising engineering teams in a rail environment.
• Solid understanding of rail vehicle maintenance and depot operations.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and docs.
• Knowledge of health, safety and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of fitters to deliver contracted work safely and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with VMIs, VOIs and company work instructions.
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality and production.
• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to support delivery and resolve issues.
• Coach and develop team members to maximise performance and competence.
• Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
• Ensure work locations remain compliant and safe.
• Support the Depot Manager in delivery of modification programmes.
