Job summary

Rocksteady Music School Limited in Darwen is seeking a Band Leader to teach rock and pop music to primary-age children across multiple schools in the region. This full-time, permanent role involves traveling between sites and delivering engaging group lessons in a supportive team.

No prior teaching experience is required as full training and development are provided; you’ll need to be competent on at least two instruments and hold a UK/EU driving licence with your own car for equipment transport.

Qualifications

• Be competent on at least two of drums, guitar, bass, keyboard or vocals.
• No teaching experience required; full training, support and development provided.
• UK/EU driving licence and own transport essential.

Responsibilities

• Teach groups of primary-age children in a fun rock and pop band format.
• Teach drums, guitar, bass, keyboard and vocals.
• Work independently as part of a remote team of band leaders.
• Be a rock and pop star role-model, empowering children in primary schools to perform live at end-of-term concerts.
• Represent Rocksteady, building relationships with schools, teachers and parents.
• Be prepared for highly active days and to drive between schools and transport equipment.
