Job summary

Rocksteady Music School Limited is seeking a Rock and Pop Music Teacher to lead band lessons across multiple primary schools in Kent. The role involves teaching in a dynamic, school-based setting and guiding children through live performances while travelling between venues.

You’ll train initially, with ongoing development and support. A UK/EU driving licence and own transport are required, and you’ll work full-time in a role with a strong, mission-driven culture.

Qualifications

• No prior teaching experience required; full training, support and development provided.
• Willingness to travel between multiple schools in a regional area.
• Must have UK/EU driving licence and own transport.
• Competence on at least two of the following instruments: drums, guitar, bass, keyboard and vocals.

Responsibilities

• Teach groups of primary-age children in a rock and pop band format in multiple schools.
• Teach instruments including drums, guitar, bass, keyboard and vocals.
• Work independently as part of a remote team of band leaders with central support.
• Help children perform live at end-of-term concerts and build confidence.
• Represent Rocksteady to schools, teachers and parents.
• Be prepared for active days and travel between schools, loading and unloading equipment.
