Job summary

Rocksteady Music School Limited in Kent is seeking a Rock and Pop Music Teacher to lead band-style lessons across multiple schools. You’ll teach drums, guitar, bass, keyboard and vocals, with full training provided and opportunities to progress.

The role is full-time and permanent, with travel between schools and driving required. You’ll join a large team of band leaders and contribute to exciting student performances.

Qualifications

• No teaching experience required - full training, support and development provided.
• A UK/EU driving licence and your own transport are essential.

Responsibilities

• Teach groups of primary-age children in a rock and pop band format in up to 10 schools per week.
• Teach drums, guitar, bass, keyboard and vocals.
• Work independently as part of a remote team of band leaders, the biggest team of like-minded musicians in the UK, with the support of our central teams too.
• Be a rock and pop star role-model, empowering and supporting children in primary schools to deliver live performances at their end-of-term concerts.
• Help children develop their self-belief, resilience and wellbeing through performing in a band.
• Represent Rocksteady, building strong relationships with schools, teachers and parents.
• Be prepared for highly active days and to spend time on the road driving between schools. You’ll need to load and unload your band equipment, set-up and pack away in each location.
