Job summary

Swisslog in Derby is seeking a Resident Engineer to maintain and repair automated machinery in a cold, high-demand environment. You will work on cranes, conveyors, and monorail systems, with rotating 12-hour day and night shifts.

You will be trained if needed, expect to record all work, contribute to continuous improvement, and uphold health and safety standards while delivering quality service to customers.

Qualifications

• An apprentice trained Electrical Engineer or equivalent qualification.
• Experience with automated machinery is ideal, training will be provided.
• Willing to work at heights.
• Customer facing role, effective communication at all levels.
• Experience with a CMMS system.

Responsibilities

• Breakdown and planned preventative maintenance on automated machinery (cranes, conveyors, monorail, deep freeze high bay).
• Work in a cold environment (-20°C).
• Undertake scheduled repairs per manufacturers' recommendations and industry standards.
• Prioritise system faults.
• Ensure quality of output at all times.
• Accurately record all work undertaken.
• Involvement in continuous improvement projects.
• Comply with Health & Safety legislation at all times.
