Job summary

Swisslog is seeking a Resident Site Engineer in Lutterworth to maintain and service automated intralogistics machinery. The role involves electrical and mechanical maintenance on a range of automated equipment, including wrappers, conveyors, packaging machinery, pallet cranes, Autostore and robots.

You will work rotating 12-hour days and nights, with emphasis on safety and quality output. Applicants should be apprentice-trained engineers or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering,

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained engineer or equivalent qualification in Electrical OR Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience of working with automated machinery is essential for this role.
• Good understanding of PLC systems, Siemens S7 desirable, but other systems will be considered.
• Happy to work at heights.
• This is a customer facing role, so you must be able to communicate effectively at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Electrical and mechanical breakdown and planned preventative maintenance on automated machinery, including wrappers, pallet conveyors, packaging machinery, pallet stacker cranes, Autostore and robots.
• Undertake scheduled repairs in accordance with manufacturers recommendations and industry standard practices.
• Prioritise system faults.
• Ensure quality of output at all times.
• Accurately record all work undertaken.
• Involvement in continuous improvement projects.
• Comply with Health & Safety legislation at all times.
• Working at heights.
