Job summary

Swisslog (UK) Ltd in Derby is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to service and repair automated machinery, including cranes, conveyors, monorail systems and deep-freeze high bays. The role involves working on a rotating 12-hour day and night shift in a cold environment of -20°C.

You will perform breakdown and preventative maintenance, prioritise faults, record work accurately, contribute to continuous improvement and ensure health and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained Electrical Engineer or equivalent qualification.
• Experience with CMMS systems.
• Willing to work at heights.
• Excellent communication at all levels.
• Experience with automated machinery is ideal; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Breakdown and planned preventative maintenance on automated machinery, including cranes, conveyors, monorail system and a deep freeze high bay.
• Work in a cold environment (-20 degrees).
• Undertake scheduled repairs in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and industry standards.
• Prioritise system faults.
• Ensure quality of output at all times.
• Accurately record all work undertaken.
• Involvement in continuous improvement projects.
• Comply with Health & Safety legislation at all times.
