Job summary

Swisslog (UK) Ltd in Lutterworth is seeking a Resident Site Engineer/Maintenance Engineer to support our flagship distribution centre. You will work rotating 12-hour days and nights, maintaining automated machinery such as wrappers, pallet conveyors, packaging equipment, stacker cranes, Autostore and robots.

Applicants should be apprentice-trained electrical or mechanical engineers with experience of automated systems, able to work at heights, and capable of clear, effective communication in a

• Apprentice-trained electrical or mechanical engineer.
• Experience with automated machinery is essential.
• Able to communicate effectively at all levels in a customer-facing role.

Responsibilities

• Electrical and mechanical breakdown and preventive maintenance on automated machinery (wrappers, conveyors, packaging, pallet stacker cranes, Autostore and robots).
• Undertake scheduled repairs per manufacturer recommendations and industry standards.
• Prioritise system faults and participate in continuous improvement projects.

The Role - Maintenance Engineer

You will be working rotating 12-hour days and nights withing a large team of Engineers, at one of our flagship Distribution Centres.

• Electrical and mechanical breakdown and planned preventative maintenance on a variety of automated machinery, to include wrappers; pallet conveyors; packaging machinery; pallet stacker cranes, autostore and robots.
• To undertake scheduled repairs in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations and industry standard practices.
• Prioritise system faults
• Involvement in continuous improvement projects.

What you need to succeed

• An apprentice trained Electrical / Mechanical Engineer.
• Experience of working with automated machinery is essential for this role
• Happy to work at heights
• This is a customer facing role, so you must be able to communicate effectively at all levels
