Job summary

Pact Coffee in Haslemere seeks an experienced Operations Manager to run and continually improve the Roastery. This hands-on role requires strong manufacturing expertise with responsibility for Health & Safety, SOPs, operational standards, equipment reliability and continuous improvement.

Working across Production, Coffee Roasting and Procurement & Inventory, you’ll lead practical improvements, manage maintenance, and ensure audit-ready compliance with HACCP, GMP and BRCGS across the site.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment (hands-on).
• Strong Health & Safety experience, IOSH/NEBOSH preferred.
• Experience managing site SOPs and safety controls.
• Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own Health & Safety standards across the Roastery.
• Manage site SOP framework: create, review, update procedures.
• Improve operations using manufacturing experience to enhance safety and efficiency.
• Investigate recurring issues; identify root causes and lasting solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement projects across Operations.
• Oversee planned maintenance and equipment reliability with contractors.
• Support introduction of new equipment, products, processes.
• Maintain HACCP, GMP and BRCGS compliance and audit readiness.
• Collaborate with management to improve standards and performance.
