Job summary

Pact Coffee in Haslemere is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our Roastery, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient production across Production, Roasting and Procurement & Inventory. You will own H&S, SOPs, equipment maintenance and continuous improvement, coordinating with teams and contractors to keep operations audit-ready and compliant with HACCP, GMP and BRCGS.

This hands-on role suits someone with manufacturing or FMCG experience, strong safety credentials (IOSH/NEBOSH) and

Qualifications

• Hands-on operations experience in manufacturing/production, FMCG or food.
• IOSH/NEBOSH health and safety qualification.
• Experience creating, reviewing and updating site SOPs and controls.
• Strong cross-team communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Own H&S standards across the Roastery and manage risk.
• Manage site SOP framework and procedural updates.
• Identify improvements to safety, reliability and efficiency.
• Lead root-cause analysis and implement lasting solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement across Operations and coordinate with teams.
• Oversee maintenance and contractors to keep equipment reliable.
• Support new equipment, processes, or ways of working.
• Maintain HACCP, GMP and BRCGS compliance and audit readiness.
• Collaborate with management to raise standards and performance.
