Job summary

RAC Motoring Services is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division. You will deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK, helping members continue their journeys safely and confidently.

You’ll diagnose faults, make quick decisions, and operate with the latest diagnostic tools. This role offers varied shifts, autonomy, and a structured development programme, with strong base pay and realistic bonuses.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years' experience
• Or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical roadside repair and vehicle diagnostics.
• Deliver emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and get members back on the road quickly and safely.
• Work independently with customer-focused service and clear communication.
