Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, repair vehicles and provide reassurance to members in challenging situations while working from home-based routes within your local area.

You’ll benefit from a structured development pathway, access to roadside training and IMI accreditation opportunities, with a base salary of £36,400 and a realistic OTE of £61,000 and options for

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• Or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and provide quick, confident solutions to get members back on the road.
• Work independently to diagnose faults and ensure safe journeys for RAC members.
• Utilise latest diagnostic technology to identify faults and support ongoing skill development.
