Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Roadside Technician to diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs and deliver emergency breakdown support nationwide. You’ll work independently with diagnostic tools, ensuring members are back on the road quickly and safely.

The role offers a structured development path, hands‑on learning, and opportunities for IMI accreditation, with demand‑led shifts and overtime options.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving license with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults, solve problems, and provide quick, confident solutions for RAC members.
