Job summary

RAC is hiring Roadside Technicians to deliver expert roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You'll diagnose faults, perform repairs and provide clear, confident guidance to members.

Join a structured development pathway with IMI accreditation, a 36,400 base salary, and an OTE around 61,000 with overtime and bonuses. Expect demand-led shifts, autonomy, and opportunities for progression in a nationwide role.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and perform mechanical roadside repairs and diagnostics across the UK.
• Work independently to diagnose faults, provide quick, confident solutions and support members on their journeys.
• Utilise latest diagnostic tools and techniques to get customers back on the road safely and promptly.

Skills

5+ years experience as Technician/Mech

Education
