Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency support across the UK. You will start and finish each day from home, supported by your RAC van, fuel card, and diagnostic kit, servicing a defined local area to get members back on the road quickly.

The role requires a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience, or 5+ years as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic, plus a full UK driving licence with

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years' experience.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support.
• Start and finish each day at home, with a RAC van and tools provided.
• Cover the Bromley cluster area and work locally to get members back on the road.
• Provide quick, confident solutions and outstanding member service.
