Job summary

The RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to keep the UK moving. You’ll diagnose and repair vehicles at the roadside and provide emergency breakdown support nationwide.

With a Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification and 2+ years’ experience, you’ll enjoy a market-competitive base salary and a realistic OTE, with overtime opportunities. You’ll start and finish at home, work shifts averaging around 40 hours per week, and receive an RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools, and diagnostic kit.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with at least 2 years' post-qualification technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Handle diverse fault scenarios including battery, tyre, and complex faults.
