Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join its Patrol division in the UK. You will perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnose faults and provide emergency breakdown support to members, with a focus on getting customers back on the road quickly and safely.

Role offers a strong base pay with an attainable OTE, development through IMI accreditation, and opportunities for overtime and career progression within RAC’s nationwide network.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• Or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and vehicle diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults, troubleshoot and repair vehicles on site and remotely as needed.
• Help RAC members continue their journeys safely and quickly.
• Operate using the latest diagnostic technology and advise customers as required.
