Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will work from home base with a local focus, starting and finishing at your driveway while serving members in your area.

Eligible candidates hold a Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or have 5+ years as a vehicle technician, plus a full UK driving licence with <6 points. RAC provides a van, tools, and training.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK
• Set up and operate from home base, visiting local areas
