Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join the Patrol division. You’ll diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs, and help members get back on the road. Start and finish at home, with a 40-hour week and potential overtime.

You’ll receive a company van, fuel card, uniform, tools, and diagnostic kit from day one. Based in the Warrington cluster and covering local areas, you’ll be a proactive problem solver who shows great customer service under pressure.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Tackle fault diagnostics, tyre changes, and battery issues on-site.
