Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join the Plymouth cluster, covering local areas including Ivybridge and surrounding towns. You will perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support, starting and finishing from home with a company van and tools provided.

This role requires a Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and at least 2 years of post-qualification experience, plus a full UK driving licence.

• A Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent), with at least 2 years' post-qualification technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience
• A customer-focused approach
• A full UK driving licence

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK
• Manage calls with focus on rapid and reassuring customer service
• Start and finish each day from home with RAC van, fuel card, and diagnostic tools provided
