Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to operate across the UK, starting and finishing from home with a RAC van and full kit. You will perform diagnostics, roadside repairs, and emergency support, responding quickly to members in need and prioritising service quality.

Requires a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and 2+ years’ experience, plus a clean UK license. Competitive base pay with realistic OTE and optional overtime.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years' experience.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
• Experience in roadside diagnostic and repair scenarios is essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support and quick, confident solutions.
• Maintain high quality customer service while working independently on the roadside.
