Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Roadside Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles roadside, carrying out emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will start and end your day from home, working in a 40-hour week with demand-led shifts and optional overtime to maximise earnings.

You will receive a base salary of £36,400 with a realistic OTE of £60,000–£61,000 and a provisioned RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, and diagnostic tools to help you succeed from day one.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish your day at home, managing calls and getting members back on the road.
