Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, perform fixes at customers’ locations and help members get back on the road quickly and safely.

Starting on your driveway, you’ll work with demand-led shifts, benefit from a development programme, IMI accreditation and opportunities for overtime and career progression within the Patrol division.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
• 2+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics across the UK.
• Provide emergency breakdown support and quick, confident solutions to members.
• Diagnose faults and help members continue their journeys safely.

Skills

UK driving licence (≤6 points)

Vehicle Technician/Mechanic experience

Education

NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance
