Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to provide expert mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, deliver quick solutions and reassure members when they need us most.

You’ll work independently to identify issues, resolve faults and help members continue their journeys safely, using advanced diagnostic tools and a clear development pathway for IMI accreditation.

Qualifications

NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK
Diagnose faults, solve problems and help members continue their journeys safely
Use the latest diagnostic technology to identify faults and get members back on the road quickly
Work independently, make decisions and develop your skills through structured training
