Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs and provide emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will work independently, using the latest diagnostic tools to identify faults and get members back on the road quickly and safely.

You will join a structured development pathway with ongoing training and opportunities for IMI accreditation, while enjoying a comprehensive benefits package and strong base pay with achievable overtime.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and vehicle diagnostics across the UK.
• Provide emergency breakdown support and quick, confident solutions.
• Diagnose faults and help members continue their journeys safely.

Education

NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)

5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic

Full UK driving licence <6 points
