Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to provide expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll work independently to diagnose faults, solve problems and help members continue their journeys safely.

The role combines technical expertise with customer service using the latest diagnostic technology. Starting on your driveway with demand-led shifts averaging 40 hours per week and optional overtime; a structured development programme with IMI

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and solve problems to get members back on the road.
• Provide mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Work independently to diagnose faults, deliver quick, confident solutions and reassure members.

Skills

5+ years’ experience as Vehicle/Technn

Full UK driving licence (<6 points)

Education

NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
