Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking Digital Engineers to join the Roads Digital Engineering team. You will combine engineering knowledge with digital technologies to improve project delivery, data management and coordination across multidisciplinary infrastructure schemes.

You will set up and support digital environments, develop workflows, and contribute to continuous improvement while mentoring junior staff and collaborating with project teams and clients.

Qualifications

• Experience in digital engineering delivery, BIM and model coordination, Information Management, CDE management, automation, GIS or data.
• Understanding of engineering and infrastructure project delivery with digital tech.
• Experience with digital systems and workflows in multidisciplinary projects.
• Ability to translate project challenges into practical digital solutions to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Familiarity with ProjectWise, iTwin, Autodesk platforms, SharePoint, Power Platform, FME, ArcGIS, Python, C#, Dynamo or Grasshopper.

Responsibilities

• Support mobilisation and delivery of Digital Engineering across projects.
• Set up and support Common Data Environments and digital collaboration platforms (ProjectWise, Autodesk, SharePoint).
• Develop and improve digital workflows for creating, managing, reviewing, coordinating and delivering project information.
• Support design coordination through model federation, design review, clash detection and issue management.
• Support engineering applications, CAD/BIM environments, standards and digital assurance processes.
• Apply automation and computational techniques to improve workflows and reduce repetitive tasks.
• Develop digital tools, scripts, dashboards and workflows using Power Platform, FME, Python, C#, Dynamo and Grasshopper.
• Analyse and visualise project data to support delivery and decision-making.
• Assist GIS, location intelligence and asset information workflows; improve information integration across systems.
• Provide technical guidance and training to project teams on digital systems and processes.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing, innovation and continuous improvement in the Digital Engineering group.
• At senior levels, lead areas of digital delivery and mentor colleagues.
