Job summary

WSP is seeking a Digital Engineer to join the Roads team across UK offices including London, Cambridge, and other locations. The role focuses on delivering highway and infrastructure design with emphasis on digital tools, data-driven workflows, and automation.

You will work in a hybrid setup, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and gaining exposure to platforms like Azure, Power Platform, and BIM/CDE environments. The role supports career development and Chartered pathways.

Qualifications

• Understanding of highway engineering principles preferred.
• Knowledge of Design Manual for Roads & Bridges, Manual for Streets, TSRGD preferred.
• Experience handling data with MS Excel or similar tools.
• Strong communication with clients, developers and public stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Work in multi-disciplinary teams to deliver highway and infrastructure solutions.
• Produce engineering outputs for projects across multiple packages and stages.
• Apply digital automation and data-driven design to improve delivery.
• Improve design efficiency, coordination and carbon performance via digital tools.
• Develop reusable digital tools, scripts, templates and documentation.
