Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Digital Engineer to join the Roads team with offices in London, Cambridge, Basingstoke, Guildford or Southampton. The role is flexible to engineers at varying career stages and will be shaped by capability and experience.

You will work with a multi-disciplinary team to improve road networks and deliver highway design and infrastructure projects using Python, C++, Dynamo, Azure, Power Platform, and BIM/CDE workflows in ISO 19650 aligned environments.

Qualifications

• Understanding of highway engineering principles preferred.
• Knowledge of standards such as DMRB, Manual for Streets, TSRGD, and local guidance preferred.
• Experience with data handling in MS Excel or similar data-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Work within multi-disciplinary teams to deliver innovative highway and infrastructure solutions.
• Deliver engineering outputs for projects or work packages of varying scale and complexity.
• Apply digital automation, data-driven design, and computational tools to improve delivery.
• Deliver measurable improvements in design efficiency, coordination, quality, and carbon performance through digital tools.
• Reduce repetitive manual effort and improve data reliability through scripting and data pipelines.
• Support digital delivery within BIM and CDE environments aligned with ISO 19650.
