Job summary

Warwickshire Police in Rugby is seeking a Supervisor WRSU to provide first-level management for the Road Safety Unit, coordinating resources and supervising speed enforcement administration.

You will ensure workloads meet targets, supervise staff, handle FOI requests, maintain force systems, and drive process improvements in line with national guidelines.

Regular travel across Warwickshire and vetting will be part of the role; flexible working options may be available.

Qualifications

• Educated to A Level/NVQ Level 3.
• A thorough knowledge of health and safety legislation and its application to the workplace.
• A good working knowledge of the Highway Code.
• Thorough knowledge of Road Traffic Law relating to speeding offences and associated road safety issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision to ensure that team members are inspired and motivated to perform their duties.
• Coordinate the Warwickshire Road Safety Demand on a daily basis.
• Provide ethical decision making in the management of demand.
• Monitor and support all team members with their workflow.
• Respond to initial complaints from the public and escalate as needed.
• Respond to FOI requests and internal/external information requests.
• Ensure accurate updating of force systems (EROS Core, Pentip, PNC).
• Collate and provide management information as requested.
• Highlight service improvements and implement changes under guidance.
• Support the Manager for buildings and facilities-related issues.
• Undertake other duties commensurate with the role.
