Job summary

WR Logistics in Manchester is seeking a confident Road Freight Account Manager to grow and manage key customer relationships. The role blends frontline account management with close collaboration with operations to deliver a reliable service and to own accounts, while identifying opportunities to expand business.

Based in a modern Manchester office, the position is Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, offering £30,000–£35,000 plus bonus, 25 days holiday, and a clear path to develop within a growing

Qualifications

• Experience in road freight account management, customer service or operations.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Commercial awareness and ability to discuss rates and quotations.
• Organised and proactive in managing a busy workload.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the main point of contact for your customer accounts
• Building relationships and identifying opportunities to grow existing business
• Preparing quotations and following up on customer enquiries
• Liaising with operations, overseas partners and transport providers
• Monitoring service performance and resolving customer queries
• Keeping customers informed and ensuring their requirements are understood
• Maintaining accurate account records and pricing information
