Job summary

SMT GB, a leading distributor in machinery and trucks, is seeking a Field Service Engineer for road equipment to cover the South of England. You will service, maintain and repair Dynapac road construction equipment at customer sites, ensuring maximum uptime and exceptional service.

You'll work independently within a supportive team of technical experts, travelling across a wide territory and delivering high-quality diagnostics, installation of updates, and proactive maintenance to maximise

Qualifications

Recognised engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent).
Proven experience servicing/heavy plant or road equipment.
Full UK driving licence.
Strong diagnostic skills across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
Good IT skills and experience completing electronic service documentation.

Responsibilities

Service, maintain and repair Dynapac road construction equipment to OEM standards.
Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
Carry out planned maintenance, inspections and breakdown repairs.
Identify opportunities for additional service, parts and aftermarket sales.
Work with customer support teams to deliver excellent outcomes.
Install software updates and technical modifications.
Complete electronic job cards and timesheets accurately.
