Job summary

SMT GB is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer for Dynapac road construction equipment. You will service, maintain and repair equipment at customer sites across the South of England, ensuring maximum uptime and excellent customer experience.

The role requires strong diagnostic skills, a proactive, customer-focused approach and willingness to travel across the territory. A recognised engineering qualification and UK driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Essential: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Plant/Construction Equipment or HGV Engineering.
• Essential: Proven experience servicing heavy plant and construction equipment.
• Essential: Strong diagnostic skills in mechanical, hydraulic, electrical systems.
• Essential: Full UK driving licence.
• Essential: Ability to work independently and travel across the territory.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair Dynapac road construction equipment to OEM standards.
• Diagnose and fix mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Carry out planned maintenance and breakdown repairs.
• Identify opportunities for additional service and aftermarket sales.
• Build relationships with customers and work across a large territory.
