SMT is a leading field service organization covering the South of England and broader UK for Dynapac road construction equipment. You will service, repair, and maintain equipment at customer sites, travel across a large territory, and ensure maximum machine uptime while delivering exceptional customer experiences. The role combines hands-on engineering with a focus on safety and customer service, with opportunities for training and career development.

Formación

• Recognised engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent) in Plant, Agricultural, Construction Equipment or HGV Engineering.
• Proven experience servicing heavy plant and construction equipment.
• Strong diagnostic skills across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.

Responsabilidades

• Service, maintain and repair Dynapac road construction equipment to OEM standards.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Carry out planned maintenance, inspections and breakdown repairs.
• Identify opportunities for additional service, parts and aftermarket sales.
• Work closely with Customer Support Representatives and internal teams to deliver excellent customer outcomes.
• Install software updates, machine enhancements and technical modifications.
• Complete electronic job cards, service reports, timesheets and documentation accurately and in real time.
• Order and manage parts in line with company processes.
• Participate in call-out and breakdown support rotas when required.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with company policies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers across your territory.
• Attend technical training and development activities to maintain knowledge.
