Job summary

BETHESDA SOUTHGATE is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time role with shifts from 6:45am to 7:15pm. The position focuses on comprehensive resident assessments, care planning, and coordination with an interdisciplinary team.

The role requires strong clinical judgment and communication, with emphasis on timely documentation and patient safety. Benefits available include 403b, daily pay, bonuses, holiday pay, and insurance options.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state you will be working
• CPR/AED certification required, or willing to obtain within six months of employment
• Long-term care experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills to interact verbally with patients, visitors, and staff
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Ability to lift heavy objects using proper lifting techniques and with assistance as necessary
• Ability to transfer and move patients who vary with ability to assist weighing 200+lbs using proper lifting techniques and with assistance when necessary
• Ability to push and pull equipment weighing in excess of 40lbs using proper techniques and with assistance when necessary
• Manual dexterity, coordination and skillful use of hands when working with patients and equipment
• Visual acuity with the ability to distinguish color
• Ability to physically perform necessary documentation electronically and in writing

Responsibilities

• Accurately assesses residents' health status on admission and ongoing basis
• Develops dynamic care plans with interdisciplinary team
• Documents care plans and interventions accurately and timely
• Administers medications and provides treatments
• Maintains composure during crises and communicates with physicians using SBARR
• Monitors care plan delivery and engages in QAPI for problem resolution
• Assists with ADLs and call lights, ensuring timely care
• Upholds best nursing practices and policies, pursuing ongoing self-study
• Performs other duties as assigned
