Job summary

Bethesda Health Group is seeking a part-time receptionist for Bethesda Southgate. The role runs 32 hours per pay period from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, welcoming residents, visitors, and staff while handling messages accurately and routing calls with care.

The Casual, on-site position supports daily operations, keeps the workstation organized, and ensures timely communications. Benefits include 403b, daily pay, bonuses, and holiday pay.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Experience helpful, but not required.
• Minimum typing skills of 35wpm.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of nursing home environment preferred.
• Ability to handle multiple demands at the same time.
• Manual dexterity, coordination and skillful use of hands for working with required equipment.
• Ability to read and understand written directions.
• Occasionally lifts and transport items weighing up to 10lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greets and directs residents, visitors, employees, physicians, and other inquiring parties in a cheerful and helpful manner.
• Answers all telephone calls by the third ring, identifying oneself by name and facility and provides assistance to caller.
• Keeps workstation neat and reports equipment failures or other unusual circumstances to appropriate manager.
• Prepares, types, copies, and distributes documents with accuracy and timeliness.
• Monitors entrants and ensures proper sign-out procedures for residents leaving with a guest or family.
