Job summary

BETHESDA Health Group in Southgate is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time 2:45pm - 11:15pm shift. The role involves providing basic nursing care, assessment, and coordinating with the IDT to update care plans.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing resulting in LPN licensure.
• Current LPN license in the state you will be working.
• CPR and AED certification required or willing to obtain within six months.
• IV certification required or willing to obtain within six months.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Ability to assess the basic nursing care needs of geriatric residents.
• Excellent communication skills with residents, visitors and staff.
• Time management and organizational skills required.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods; lift heavy objects with assistance.
• Ability to transfer/move patients weighing 200+ lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic nursing care by assessing residents on admission and ongoing.
• Communicates changes in condition to the IDT and families.
• Documents assessments accurately and timely.
• Updates the care plan and implements nursing interventions.
• Administers medications and treatments safely.
• Maintains safety and adheres to Bethesda's policies and procedures.
• Responds to call lights and assists with ADLs as needed.
• Completes twelve hours of nursing-related continuing education.
