Job summary

Bethesda Health Group is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Rehab department, full-time night shift from 10:45pm to 7:15am at Bethesda Southgate. The role focuses on comprehensive nursing of residents, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to assess health needs and implement care plans.

Responsibilities include administering medications, documenting care, and coordinating with physicians and families.

Qualifications

• RN education from an accredited nursing program.
• CPR/AED certification required or obtain within six months.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Must possess critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication with patients, visitors and staff.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Able to stand and walk for long periods.
• Able to lift heavy objects (200+ lbs) with assistance.
• Able to transfer/move patients with assist.
• Able to push/pull equipment >40 lbs with assistance.
• Manual dexterity and coordination for patient care and equipment.
• Visual acuity to distinguish colors.
• Able to document electronically and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents' health status on admission and ongoing.
• Develop and revise care plans with the IDT.
• Document care plans and interventions accurately and timely.
• Administer medications and IV fluids as ordered.
• Communicate with physicians, residents and families about care.
• Notify physicians using SBARR when conditions change.
• Support call lights and assist with ADLs and resident care.
