Job summary

iwoca is seeking a Risk Analyst to support and refine the lending strategy for Germany, while working with data scientists and cross-functional teams in a hybrid London-based setup. The role focuses on building credit risk expertise, testing strategies, and improving scorecards and underwriting processes.

You will develop dashboards, turn data into insights, and collaborate with stakeholders to shape lending decisions that impact both customers and the business.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or similar.
• Ability to analyse data and generate insights to support decisions.
• Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to tailor analysis and recommendations to different audiences.
• Analytical mindset with a practical approach to problem solving.
• Commitment to using modern tools effectively – including AI – to maximise quality, speed, and rigour.

Responsibilities

• Build expertise in the credit domain.
• Develop analytical skills through exposure to experiments and complex analysis.
• Lead insights on the risk profile of the lending book and support lending strategy decisions.
• Partner with stakeholders to provide credit risk expertise on multi-disciplinary projects.
• Work with data science to improve credit assessment scorecards and strategies.
