Job summary

Arcan Capital is seeking a Manager in Training to join its expanding team. The role focuses on providing exceptional leasing support, verifying applications, and ensuring Fair Housing compliance while contributing to budgeting and NOI improvements.

The successful candidate will have 2+ years in property management, solid accounting basics, and proficiency with Yardi/Rent Café. Flexibility for weekends/holidays and a professional, service‑driven attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ experience in property management or related field.
• Strong accounting and bookkeeping basics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management software such as Yardi and Rent Café.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local fair housing laws and regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional assistance to current and prospective residents via phone, email, and in person.
• Support leasing by verifying applications and ensuring compliance with Fair Housing guidelines.
• Lead rent collection and manage delinquent accounts.
• Assist with staff training and apply effective sales techniques.
• Maintain resident records and oversee accounting functions.
• Conduct move‑in and move‑out inspections and ensure quality standards.
• Act as Property Manager in absence and adapt to evolving company needs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
