Job summary

Motorola Solutions UK Limited is seeking an experienced Pre-Sales Applications Engineer to bridge our CRFS portfolio with customer needs. You will be a hands-on technical authority, working across hardware, software, and system-level solutions, delivering demonstrations, field visits, and tailored proposals.

You’ll travel 10–40% in the UK and internationally, engage with senior buyers, and influence product direction by feeding insights to engineering and product teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronic Engineering or related field (RF/Telecommunications, Physics, CS) is required.
• Strong RF principles and hands-on experience with RF equipment.
• Proficiency in Linux systems and TCP/IP networking.
• Experience in pre-sales, application engineering, or systems engineering in RF/defence/telecoms.
• Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally (10–40%).

Responsibilities

• Support the sales team technically from qualification to contract award.
• Lead or contribute to customer meetings, workshops, and live demos.
• Develop deep, hands-on expertise across hardware, software, and system-level solutions.
• Provide product feedback to inform roadmap and product positioning.
• Create demonstration scenarios and assess interoperability with third-party systems.
• Deploy to customer sites to gain real-world experience and strengthen pre-sales work.
• Prepare technical presentations, proposals, and bid contributions.
• Communicate clearly to varied audiences, from senior officers to procurement leads.
