Job summary

Mount Charles Group is seeking a Cleaning Supervisor to join our team at Lagan Valley Island, Lisburn. This is a world-leading facilities management company with a family-oriented culture and strong values.

The role is part-time, 12 hours per week, spread over 4 days out of 7, 18:30-21:30, with benefits including holidays, pension, and on-site parking. You will ensure cleaning standards are met, supervise a team, manage COSHH compliance, and maintain safety signage and equipment.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Flexible with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Strong attention to detail in cleaning tasks and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all areas are cleaned efficiently to specified standards, including weekly tasks.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely and in line with COSHH guidelines.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment after appropriate training.
• Report faulty equipment immediately and ensure safety signage is used at all times.
• Keep cleaning stores tidy and secure; comply with client and Mount Charles regulations.
• Lead a team of cleaners to complete daily and periodic tasks.

The Role:

• Ensure all areas are cleaned efficiently and in a timely manner to the required standards - this to include weekly and periodic tasks
• Use cleaning chemicals safely as detailed by the Control of Substances Hazardous to health guidelines (COSHH)
• Ensure full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and agents and use cleaning equipment as directed by the Line Manager only after correct training is given.
• Report immediately any equipment which is faulty, mark as faulty and do not use
• Ensure that the safety signage is used appropriate at all times, e.g. wet floor signs and 'warn' customers where possible
• Ensure that cleaning stores are kept clean and tidy and equipment is stored correctly and safely at all times
• Comply with all security regulations for cleaning materials, equipment and buildings as laid down by client and Mount Charles
• Along with your team ofcleaners, you will ensure all areas are cleaned efficiently and in a timely manner to the required standards - this to include weekly and periodic tasks

The Person:

• Self-motivated, working independently and on owninitiative to ensure set tasks completed

• Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to assist in understanding safety and work instructions and communicating with customers on a day-to-day basis.
