Job summary

Mount Charles Group is seeking a Cleaning Operative to join the team at Kinnaird Close, Belfast. You will provide high-quality housekeeping services across offices, meeting rooms, toilets and amenity areas, in line with client specifications.

The role offers Monday–Friday, 08:30–16:30 (15 hours per week) with a supportive team and opportunities for training, pension, and wellbeing programs as part of Mount Charles’ employee benefits.

Qualifications

• NVQ/SVQ Level 1 Cleaning Building Interiors would be an advantage.
• Previous work experience in customer service employment.
• Basic statutory training for the role to assist in understanding safety and work instructions and communicating with customers daily.

Responsibilities

• Providing the highest level of housekeeping/ Cleaning service within your area of responsibility in line with client specifications.
• Responding positively, politely and promptly to all customer requirements and carrying out duties in a professional and courteous manner.
• Providing a range of general cleaning services to include offices/meeting rooms, toilets/showers and amenity areas site wide.
• Ensuring all stocks are replenished in your area of responsibility.
• Ensuring regular checks are carried out to equipment/machines used during hours of work and that equipment is left clean and in good working order at shift end, reporting any defects.
• Familiarising yourself with and following all company procedures and regulations.
• Participating in the Health and Safety Policy and reporting any dangers or hazards to Line Manager.
• Ensuring offices, toilets, and amenity areas are presented clean and tidy.
• Complying with Health, Safety & Hygiene standards and HACCP where necessary.
• Reporting defective equipment or surfaces and other health and safety issues.
• Reporting any suggestions or complaints to the Line Manager.

The Role:

• Responding positively, politely and promptly to all customer requirements and carry out your duties in a professional and courteous manner
• Providing a range of general cleaning services to include offices/meeting rooms, toilets/showers and amenity areas site wide

• Ensuring regular checks are carried out to the equipment/machines used during hours of work and all the equipment is left clean and in good working order at the end of your shift, reporting any defects
• Making yourself familiar with and follow all company procedures and regulations
• Participating in the Health and Safety Policy of the company and report any dangers, near misses or hazards you encounter to your Line Manager
• All offices, toilets, and amenity areas to be presented in a clean and tidy
• Comply with all Health, Safety & Hygiene standards
• Comply with all HACCP regulations as necessary
• Report defective equipment/ utensils/ work and floor surfaces or any other Health and Safety issues
• Ensure all suggestions, comments or complaints are reported to the Line Manager.

The Person:

• Exceptional customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail
• NVQ/SVQ Level One in Cleaning Building Interiors would be an advantage
• Previous work experience in customer service employment
• Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing,speakingand listening skills toassist in understanding safety and work, instructions and communicating with customer on a day-today basis.
