Job summary

Mount Charles Group is seeking a night-shift cleaner to join our team. You will maintain high cleaning standards across facilities with weekly and periodic tasks, working a 27.5-hour week (Mon-Thu nightshift and Fri night).

The role requires knowledge of cleaning products, a customer-focused approach, and good time management. Training is provided along with an Access NI check prior to commencement, and the company offers pension and wellbeing support.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals/products.

• Basic reading/writing/speaking/listening for safety and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all areas are cleaned to required standards, including weekly and periodic tasks.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely as per COSHH guidelines.
• Understand and operate all cleaning equipment correctly after training.
• Report any faulty equipment immediately and tag as faulty.
• Maintain safe signage (e.g. wet floor).
• Keep cleaning stores clean and equipment stored safely.

The Role

• Ensure all areas are cleaned efficiently and in a timely manner to the required standards - this to include weekly and periodic tasks
• Use cleaning chemicals safely as detailed by the Control of Substances Hazardous to health guidelines (COSHH)
• Ensure full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and agents and use cleaning equipment as directed by the Line Manager only after correct training is given.
• Report immediately any equipment which is faulty, mark as faulty and do not use
• Ensure that the safety signage is used appropriate at all times, e.g. wet floor signs and ‘warn’ customers where possible
• Ensure that cleaning stores are kept clean and tidy and equipment is stored correctly and safely at all times

The Person

• Have knowledge of cleaning chemicals/products and have previous cleaning experience
• Are customer focused with good eye for detail
• Good time management skills
• Experience of working on your own and ensuring set tasks are completed.
• Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing,speakingand listening skills toassistin understanding safety and work, instructions and communicating with customer on a day-today basis.
