Job summary

Mount Charles Group is seeking a Cleaning Operative to join our Belfast team. The role focuses on delivering high-quality cleaning services for offices, meeting rooms and amenities with attention to detail and strong customer service.

Hours are part-time, 4 hours per week, with duties across openings hours. The post emphasizes safety, reliability and adherence to company policies within a family-oriented business.

Qualifications

• NVQ/SVQ Level One in Cleaning Building Interiors would be an advantage but not essential.
• Previous work experience in customer service employment.
• Current BICS Qualifications.
• Basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to understand safety and work instructions and communicate with customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest level of Cleaning service within your area of responsibility.
• Respond positively, politely and promptly to customer requirements and act professionally.
• Provide cleaning services for offices, meeting rooms, toilets and site wide areas.
• Ensure stocks are replenished in your area of responsibility.
• Check equipment/machines for cleanliness and ensure they are in good working order.
• Follow all company procedures and regulations.
• Participate in the Health and Safety Policy and report hazards to your Line Manager.
• Keep offices, toilets and amenity areas clean and tidy.
• Comply with Health, Safety & Hygiene standards and report issues to Line Manager.

Working Pattern

• 4 hours per week
• 2 hours per day
• Monday andThursday between 08:30- 16:30

The Role

• Providing the highest level of Cleaning service within your area of responsibility
• Responding positively, politely and promptly to all customer requirements and carry out your duties in a professional manner
• Providing a range of general cleaning services to include offices/meeting rooms, toilets, site wide
• Ensuring all stocks are replenished in your area of responsibility
• Ensuring regular checks are carried out to the equipment/machines used during hours of work and all the equipment is left clean and in good working order
• Making yourself familiar with and follow all company procedures and regulations
• Participating in the Health and Safety Policy of the company and report any dangers, or hazards you encounter to your Line Manager
• All offices, toilets, and amenity areas to be presented clean and tidy
• Comply with all Health, Safety & Hygiene standards
• Comply with all regulations as necessary
• Report defective equipment/ utensils/ work and floor surfaces or any other Health and Safety issues to your Line Manager

The Person

• Exceptional customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail
• NVQ/SVQ Level One in Cleaning Building Interiors would be an advantage but not essential
• Previous work experience in customer service employment
• Current BICS Qualifications.
• Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to assist in understanding safety and work instructions and communicating with customers on a day-to-day basis.
