Job summary

NEC Software Solutions is seeking a Revenues & Benefits professional to process housing and council tax changes using NEC/Civica systems. The role allows hybrid or remote work within the UK, and you will support KPI-driven processing with accuracy and customer service at the core.

You will train, mentor colleagues and stay current with regulations while handling a busy workflow in the Revenues & Benefits team. The position offers opportunities for progression and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience using NEC / Academy / IBS (Civica) systems.
• Proven problem solving skills.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Housing Benefits / Council Tax.
• Delivers under pressure with a flexible approach to work.
• IT competent and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Deal with customers via letter, email and telephone to ensure delivery against service requirements.
• Meet deadlines with minimum support.
• Complete high workload levels in line with KPI indicators and regulations.
• Coach and mentor junior staff/colleagues.
• Share best practice and lead update sessions to the team.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge through publications, notes and external training.
• Contribute ideas for improvements within the business centre.
• Regularly exceed minimum contractual standards for productivity/accuracy.
